The town of St Annes, built in 1875, retains its Victorian charm and elegance. It still maintains its pier and there are miles of sandy beach and dunes to explore. The town centre is generally busy with a mixture of High Street chains and smaller independent retailers. The many cafes provide seating inside and out and a wide variety of restaurants provide food for all tastes and budgets.

Lytham St Annes is a busy and vibrant area with many events throughout the year. The World War Two weekend, St Annes International Kite Festival and Lytham Festival are just some of the events on offer. Lytham St Annes is part of the UK’s “Golf Coast” and is in itself home to 4 Championship Courses. Two of those, Royal Lytham & St Annes and St Annes Old Links courses are just 2 minutes away by car.

Five miles from St Annes centre is the seaside resort of Blackpool; still one of Britain’s most popular holiday destinations. Here, there are numerous attractions including the Sea Life CentreBlackpool TowerPleasure BeachSandcastle Water ParkThree PiersBlackpool Zoo, Stanley Park and of course, from September to November each year, the world famous Blackpool Illuminations.

For theatre-goers there are spectacular shows throughout the year at The Grand TheatreWinter Gardens or North and South Piers, all of which are located in Blackpool. Also throughout the year are smaller but no less impressive performances of music and drama at the Lowther Theatre in Lytham.
